Hi earth angel that is a fantastic sight and the pictures are amazing i work in a resource centre for adults with learning disabilities including autistic adults and the outside world try to damn and poke fun at adults with disabilities and even tho it is becoming "socially acceptable" which makes me angry to integrate in society. Your sons website is an inspiration and has given me an idea to start up in my work place :)

I would like to discuss autism with anyone. My son is 18 now, originally thought to be autistic and later aspergers. He is doing well. Lately we seem to have telepathic connection that I didnt notice before so its interesting.

There are many things in life that lead us towards change. for some there may be a sense that something just does not feel right or there is a sense that there must be more to life. for others change comes about unexpectedly with the diagnosis of a life threatening illness, the death of someone we care about, the breakdown of a significant relationship or job loss.all of these things bring up many different emotional responses. they have the potential to impact our sense of self and our normal patterns of behaviour, thinking and managing life, may not seem to work any more.

at times some may seriously doubt their capacity for happiness and struggle with feelings of uncertainty. the past may influence the present and the future may suggest your direction, yet it is the here-and-now experience that brings about change and growth. happiness is an attitude towards life itself, the discovery of one’s life direction and sense of belonging.

the way we see things… To express ourselfs :)

Christina, I have just been onto your son's photographic site and am absolutely bowled over by the talent he has for photography. He should be very proud of himself and you should also be proud to have such a lovely, brilliant son.

I don't have children myself at the moment but I am a dog trainer/communicator and have worked with my dogs and autistic child. It was an amazing experience for me and my dogs. He couldn't speak, only noises, but was able to converse with my dogs very easily. My dogs were so interested in him, but not in the normal excited way, they were fantastic, even our young collie who jumps on everyone never once thought about it. He had the inate ability to get the dogs interest and to interact with them. In my mind he may not have be able to communicate vocally with us, but he certainly was able to communicate with my dogs on a very deep level. His mum said she saw great changes in the was he interacted with other children as a result.

Animals have so much to teach us if we let them.
