Ouija Boards, Good or Bad ?

Growing up my Mother & i used to play with the Ouija board a lot & often it would spell out not very nice messages about when & how certain people would die. Once when we were playing with it a spirit came through & spelt out ' Leave well alone' of course we ignored that & continued to play with it now & then. Then one day we had another go & all was going fine until the glass started to move about very fast, both my Mother & myself took our fingers off the glass & watched it continue to move round & round the table all by its self. That was the last time we ever played with the Ouija board, so if you have one at home or are tempted to use it, take my advice & put it in the bin.

The name (Ouija Board) conjures up all the bad things that folks have heard over the years.

This is unfortunate as in the right hands they can be a very good link with the sprit word.

Like many things in life used incorrectly and without thought and care there could be dangers to some users.

I have seen astounding messages come through from our friends in spirit and its possible to laugh and cry with them as they spell out or go to direct words as a short cut.

A board made up for spritualists (Spirit Board) can be produced by a gentleman who advertises on the internet and we have one about the size of a manopoly board to sit a number of people around in comfort.

Always open and close in prayer as you would whenever joining up with our spirit friends.

But as with all forms of communication you cant demand and the energies have to be there from both sides for a successful session.

My main hobby is Metal detecting and local history as some of you will already be aware.

I visit a Metal detecting site a number of times each day and they have started a thread about spirit Boards and replies are being posted almost hourly (6 pages in 24hours.)

Here we are as spiritualists and this thread has gone dead could it be that there is a tendancy to stick with a set line or means of communication with spirit and folks failing to try other forms of communication with those on other side.

I agree with Skydancing. A couple of people I know got involved and had some very bad experiences. I tried it once as a teenager and got a result I wasn't expecting and which was quite frightening. My advice to anyone is stay well clear.

I am am great fan of Ouija boards, and have several including a "William Fuld" board.

The key to getting the best is to test the spirit using a proven method, and to dominate the session.

Kay i was reading this ok. And i recently played the ouija board at the cemtary with me and a couple of my friends and i was wondering how you are able to get a spirit that might be following you away from you ?

As far as spirits ...

for me being what I am -- spirits are all around, trees, rocks, grass, creeks, the marsh, forests, animals, clouds, wisps of wind -- everything. So I communicate with spirits directly everyday..

BUT, there is a key which most Ouija board users miss.

For me -- contacting the spirits is about talking and chatting with friends, allies, protectors. While a Ouija board, one never knows the spirit one is talking to -- or if the spirit is actually telling the truth. So Ouija boards are usually used by people who have no idea of the inherent dangers of messing with things beyond thier control -- and it usually bites them in the butt (which is why the bad experiences so common with Ouija boards)

if one has a direct connection with the spirit world -- a Ouija board really isn't needed or used.

As I have mentioned before we are 7 mediums who use a spirit board with great success.

Our spirit board is about 36" square and we use a planchet and always open and close in prayer.

There is a door keeper who controls who is coming through and the inforation we get is amazing.

We also use other methods of communication and out of interest the family dogs in spirit always come through to each of us.

Its like most things in life if you feel comfortable and secure then you are very unlikely to come to any harm.

We record what happens and then I can play the tapes back afterwards.

Well thats the view of myself and our group of sitters.

Just out of interest we also use other means of talking to spirit just as Iam talking to you using a key board to talk to you.

I have never used the O uija board, never had the calling too.

Hope this helps you in your quest for knowledge :)

All though Ouija Boards have been around from early civilizations in one form or another, they never really took off until the Victorian times when mediumship became very popular.

A Ouija board to me is something not to be taken lightly and something that should be treated with respect at all times.
They are not to my personal taste as I feel that you and everyone else can connect with spirit without having to have a communication device such as Ouija.

All people in this world a sense a feel spirit in many different ways , some more than others.
I have found that a good meditation session can have a better or if not more accurate outcome as you are in control at all times.

If it helps see if you could find a meditation CD and give it a try. as I feel many people would benefit from trying this.
