Many of us, me included feel that our animals are a massive part of our lives and family to some, who don’t have children more than just pets or animals they are a life line a link to help them integrate with the outside world some are our eyes our ears and some just help us empathies when our own worlds are often different from others. Their patience and knack of being able to offer a head to stroke on or a paw to hold gives many the chances to calm and relax.
We have often heard that animals do courageous things how some can understand and help loneliness and pain how they bring hope and love to the elderly. Some breeds of dogs are picked because of their nature to assist with sight and hearing. There are also others used for autism as they can support children and help them empathize and have a link to the outside world.
Then I started to think what if in some way these animals had also chosen their lives to experience a different concept I have often provided reading and brought animals through and their character. They still wanted to be with the people they love and some how they still manage to give the love to owner as if they are the child they so desperately want desire and need.
I have always been guided and understood that animals too have a soul I have also naturally understood for some people animals are the children they don’t or can’t have I can also understand that to someone who has never been affected with personal loss or has been fortunate to have security and stability and love may not be so understanding would also think that the animal would not or could not be compared to human life, again I feel that love holds no boundaries that real love survives in many shapes and forms.
I then started to think about the people I know who have not had children and how their animals became their children how they grieved when they passed. Their loss left a void a gaping hole. I knew a man who was almost a recluse he had no real family to speak of. He had spent most of his adult life in a job where he regularly had to deal with fire, death and devastation. He even attended The Moorgate Tube disaster in 1975. He told me he picked up arms and bodies. This was terrible and gave him nightmares. Yet he said when his dog died he cried like a baby. Was this, his bond is so much stronger than those who have children. In fact his logical brain was tested a few weeks later when he says he witnessed his first proof of spirit as his dog appeared to him.
He went on to explain how the dog appeared to be healthy and young again the dog sat at his feet and put his head on his lap. Any signs of illness were completely gone. His dog just wanted to let him know he was ok. Just like a loved one drawing attention to you to. He became more open and trusting to other opportunities and realized that there is more to life than any of us really know.
